Atelier Sigma
is an independent architecture and design studio, founded in 2016, by two architects Nima Tabrizi and Ardalan Tayefeh. It is planned to be a centre for conjunction and collaboration of creative architects and designers with professions in other fields.
APPELLATION
The name Sigma was chosen to show the team’s interest and goal in collaboration and synergy. Sigma /ˈsɪɡmə/ (uppercase Σ) is the eighteenth letter of the Greek alphabet. In general mathematics, uppercase ∑ is used as an operator for summation. In this case summation of different ideas, energies, and approaches in order to create something great and comprehensive!
Ideation
After choosing the name sigma, its symbol Σ was the first obvious shape that came to mind. By combining the main idea behind the name which was synergy and completing each other and the Σ shape, we came up with a design that induces both of them, the hidden Σ shape in the middle of the logo and an incomplete rectangle which is becoming complete by a triangle.
Final Result
Completing the design, choosing the color, and designing the business cards and header pages.
